As of April 13, 2018, BBB has received five reports from consumers alleging they were contacted by Cube Survey Group, advertising a post office mailbox in Honolulu, HI and address in Alcamo, Italy to act as mystery shoppers.  As a part of the mystery shopping, consumers were asked to deposit a check into their own bank account and deduct a commission.  After depositing the check, consumers were instructed to go to Walmart and purchase a pack of Walmart Gift Cards for $500 each.  While purchasing the gift cards, consumers were instructed to evaluate the quality of customer service, condition, arrangement of cards and fill out an observation form.  After purchasing the gift cards, consumers were directed to open the pack, scratch off the label to reveal the code and take a photo of the front and back of the cards and email the photos of the gift cards to the company.  Consumers who participated in this activity found the check they deposited into their own bank account bounced as counterfeit and they were then required to return the funds to the bank.  Once the consumers sent a photo of the gift cards to the company, the company was able to take the money off the gift cards remotely leaving the consumer with nothing.

BBB found this company is not registered to do business in the state of Hawaii.  The post office mail box address in Honolulu does not exist.
